SERVICES
TO PEOPLE WITH ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURIES: Jewish
Family and Vocational Service, in partnership with the Brain
Injury Association of New Jersey, offers Employment and Career
advancement opportunities for people with acquired brain injury*.
We offer:
- Supported Employment
- Career Exploration - Develop
vocational profile of interests, occupational strengths,
transportation, etc.
- Job shadowing - Visit work
sites and observe environments of interest observe job duties
- Job sampling - job "tryouts,"
real work experience in desired field
- Job development - create
resume, job applications, attend interviews, obtain employment
- Job coaching - individualized
training by staff to "employee" to acquire necessary
skills on the job to work successfully
- Follow along services
* Acquired brain injuries include
those resulting from heart attack, stroke, meningitis, or
traumatic brain injury.
