Project Citizenship Coordinator/Instructor – Full Time
JFVS of Middlesex County Immigration and Refugee Services is seeking to hire a full-time certified ESL teacher to coordinate its citizenship education program.

The coordinator is responsible for:
• teaching one to four citizenship preparation classes a week at class sites in central NJ
• promoting the program through outreach and advertising in Middlesex, Somerset and Monmouth counties
• administering and grading student assessments
• recruiting and training volunteer teachers and tutors
• maintaining client files
• writing quarterly grant reports
Required Qualifications:
• Must be ESL certified (TESL/TEFL, CELTA)
• At least 1 year’s experience teaching ESL
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel
• Must be energetic
• Must be sensitive to different cultures
• Must have strong communication skills, oral and written
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience teaching ESL
• Familiar with the citizenship process
• Fluent in Spanish
• Familiar with CASAS assessments
