Volunteer Opportunities
There is always plenty to be done at JFVS!
300 Volunteers support the community with more than 10,000 hours of service. Volunteer opportunities include:
- Delivering Kosher Meals on Wheels
- Participating in the friendly visitor program to the homebound
- Assisting in the adult day care program with programming or as group aides
- Providing transportation for the elderly to socialization programs
- Organizing and stocking the Kosher Food Pantry
- Preparing and delivering holiday packages
- Tutoring English
- Providing assistance with acculturation, citizenship, test preparation and socialization
- Public relations, marketing, fund development and clerical/administrative aid

Kosher Meals on WheelsVolunteers work alone or in teams to deliver Kosher Meals on Wheels to homebound disabled and/or elderly in Middlesex County. We need drivers and “jumpers.” Jumpers get out of the car and bring the meal to the home. Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday, 2 hours per week or as a substitute on an as-needed basis. |

Friendly VisitorMake weekly visits to an isolated homebound senior adult, one hour per week. Mostly weekdays, but weeknights/weekends are sometimes available. |

CAMEO ProgramCAMEO (Challenging Adult Minds and Energizing Ourselves) is a senior day program for adults with physical disabilities who are cognitively alert. Emphasis on physical and cognitive stimulation. Volunteers coordinate activities and provide social and emotional support. Volunteers are needed Tuesdays or Thursdays, 1 day or 1/2 day. |

Elderday Care CenterThe Elderday program provides social day care for frail seniors. Volunteers help provide and coordinate a wide range of activities for the clients. Complimentary breakfast and lunch are provided for volunteers. Volunteers should be available 1 day or 1/2 day per week. |
